GENERAL INFORMATION
This guide provides students, parents and caregivers with information about the subjects available for study at Rotorua Lakes High School at Levels 1, 2 & 3. It is hoped that this information will assist students as they seek to make the right decisions about next year's course of study.
ll students are required to plan their years programme according to their needs in consultation with parents, subject teachers, HOD, Careers Advisor and the relevant dean. This information will be used by the school to generate the option lines based on constraints in staffing, resourcing, timetabling and class size requirements.
Principals note
It is important that you read this information carefully, talk to people in your family and at school to get advice so you choose the options that will open the doors you need to fulfil your tertiary education or career goals. For most careers, including Army, Navy and Air Force you need at least NCEA Level 2 as well as a positive character reference from the school. If you are unsure about your future career make an appointment with the Careers Advisor or go online to the following web address www.careers.govt.nz which is published by New Zealand Careers Services.Best wishes for your senior course of study at Rotorua Lakes High School.Bruce WalkerPrincipal
